Meeka von Meura is an incredibly sweet 5-6 month old German Shepherd mix. Meeka came to us with some bumps and scrapes, and the skin on her nose is still in healing mode. She happily greets men, women, or anyone who wants to say hello. She is an easy and polite guest in her foster home, where she has a furry foster brother to play with. Meeka would REALLY like to have a forever home with another playful, young dog, as playing is her favorite thing to do. She is incredibly smart and learned the 'sit' command in a few minutes. She is 99% housebroken as long as she has access to the outside. She is still working on how to let you know she needs to go out when doors are closed.  She hasn't been tested with cats yet, and although we haven't seen her around kids, we believe that with her gentle, friendly and sweet nature, she would do very well with children. We think she will be medium in size once fully grown. Meeka sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep.
